MANAGING ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE

Organizational change occurs when a company makes a transition from its current state to some desired state. How to manage organizational change is based on the process of planning and implementing change in organizations in such a way as to minimize employee resistance and cost to the organization, while also maximizing the effectiveness of the change effort.

According to Thomas S. Bateman organizations must change because their environments change. Managing change in the organization is very risky. There’s a lot things to consider, specifically components or elements in the organization. They must have an effort to change first their ways, on how they will achieve the aims or goals of the organization, change in culture and change in habits, attitudes and often change in purpose.
Leaders continually make efforts to accomplish successful and significant change. Some are good, while others struggle and fail. We sometimes have difficulty in adapting change. This is because we have deep attachments to our organization, work group, and way of working. But, we should have the ability to adapt to changing work conditions for the organization’s survival. Change will be always present in the organizations. Learning to manage change helps you to understand human factors and at the same time, manage and lead effectively.
